ABOUT US
OURGODHEARS – a family of FOURSQUARE started as a tiny seed out of a simple act of obedience and service in Christ on September 10, 2005 as a home-cell prayer group.
Our first fellowship had two people in attendance. We grew to an average of eight for every weekly meeting for the first year. By summer 2006, a lot of our regular members relocated to take up new jobs. This led to a toll-free telephone prayer conference on Saturday mornings tagged “Morning Dew” (Psalm 133:1-3) for North American participants.
The desired vigil prayers by the group started in March 2007 while the youth musical concert of March 2008 gave birth to the 232 Princes of God’s kingdom (1 Kings 20:13-17) initiative.
The 2007 end-of-year prayers being our first public outing was at 685 High Point Avenue, Waterloo and has remained our current location for Tuesday meetings, vigils and the Sunday Evening (now Morning) of Praise which started on September 14, 2008. The weekly Bible Study commenced at the initial location of the prayer group in June, 2008. Beginning January 2009, the Bible Study is now from “house-to-house” called the Acts 20:20 initiative. We became a registered charity in Canada from May 27 2010 with Pastor Funso Akinniyi as the Lead Pastor.

WHAT WE BELIEVE
1. THE HOLY SCRIPTURES
We believe the Bible is from God and written by holy men of old as inspired by the Holy Spirit of God (2 Timothy 3:16,17).
2. THE ETERNAL GODHEAD
We believe God is Three in One: God the: Father, Son and Holy Spirit (1 John 5:7, 2 Corinthians 13:14).
3. THE FALL OF MAN
We believe that man was created in the image of God, and was perfect before he voluntarily disobeyed and therefore brought all mankind to sin. (Genesis 1:27, Romans 3:25).
4. THE PLAN OF SALVATION
We believe that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us by the will of His Father and thus providing avenue for mankind to be reconciled to a Holy God (John 3:16; Romans 5:8).
5. SALVATION THROUGH GRACE
We believe that mankind’s salvation is through grace, not by their efforts and must come to God pleading the righteousness of Christ (Ephesians 2:8).
6. REPENTANCE AND ACCEPTANCE
We believe that upon sincere repentance, godly sorrow and a whole-hearted acceptance of Jesus Christ, we are pardoned by God (I John 1:9, John 6:37).
7. THE NEW BIRTH
We believe that the change which takes place in the heart and life at conversion is a very real one and the sinner is then born again such that old things are gone away, all things become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17; John 3:3, Galatians 2:20).
8. DAILY CHRISTIAN LIVING
We believe that having become new in Christ we are daily made holy before God and we are growing constantly to become like Christ (1 Thessalonians 5:23, Hebrews 6:1).
9. BAPTISM AND THE LORD’S SUPPER
We believe that water baptism by immersion as exemplified by Jesus is an outward sign or proclamation of an inward work regeneration (Matt. 28:19, Acts2:37,38). We believe in the commemoration and observing of the Lord’s Supper by the symbolic use of the broken bread(representing the body) and juice of the vine representing the blood of Christ (I Corinthians 11:24, 25).
10. BAPTISM WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that the Baptism with the Holy Spirit is to endue the believer with power from on high; and that His incoming is after the same manner as on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2:4, Acts 8:17).
11. THE SPIRIT-FILLED LIFE
We believe that it is the will of God that we walk and live in the Spirit daily (Ephesians 4:30-32, Galatians 5:16,25).
12. THE GIFTS AND FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT
We believe that the Holy Spirit has gifts to bestow upon the Christian; and that we should show spiritual fruit as evidence of a Spirit-filled life (Romans 12:6-12, I Corinthians 12:1-11; Galatians 5:22).
13. MODERATION
We believe that the experience and daily walk of the believer should never lead him into extremes of fanaticism (Philippians 4:5).
14. DIVINE HEALING
We believe that divine healing is the power of Christ to heal the physically sick in answer to the prayer of faith (James 5:14-16).
15. THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST
We believe that the second coming of Christ is imminent, time not known and we must be ready to meet with Him in the clouds (I Thessalonians 4:16, 17, Matthew 24:36,42,44)).
16. CHURCH RELATIONSHIP
We believe it is our sacred duty to identify ourselves with the visible Body of Christ (Acts 16:5; Hebrews 10:25).
17. CIVIL GOVERNMENT
We believe that rulers should be upheld at all times except in things opposed to the will of God (Romans 13:1-5).
18. THE FINAL JUDGEMENT
We believe that all shall stand some day before the judgment seat of God, and there receive eternal life or death (2 Corinthians 5:10).
19. HEAVEN
We believe that Heaven is the glorious eternal home of born-again believers (John 14:1-3; Revelation 7:15-17).
20. HELL
We believe that hell is the place of eternal torment for all who reject Christ as the Savior (Revelation 20:10,15).
21. EVANGELISM
We believe that soul winning is the most important responsibility of the Church (Matthew 28:19, James 5:20).
22. TITHES AND OFFERINGS
We believe that the method ordained of God for the support and spread of His cause is by giving of tithes and free-will offerings (Malachi 3:10; 2 Corinthians 9:7)
